Excellent shopping centers have evolved rapidly with some of the areas only big box stores such as Lowes, Home Depot, and Costco. Leading developments like Dunes West, Rivertowne, Park West and Hamlin Plantation are must-see communities. The newest development is Carolina Park which is very popular for those seeking new construction. 

While these communities enjoy the benefit of easy access to schools, shopping and the beach at Isle Of Palms, a drawback can be heavy traffic encountered traveling through south Mt. Pleasant to access downtown Charleston.
