About Etiwan Park
One of the original neighborhoods on Daniel Island, Etiwan is a popular neighborhood as it is close to the downtown shops and restaurants. Biking paths wind through this neighborhood and there are several parks and spots under grand oak trees overlooking ponds where neighbors sit and chat. Scott Pool Park and Bishop England High School are a short walk. Homes run from the $500s to the $700s.
The second neighborhood to be started on Daniel Island is named for the Indian tribe that hunted and fished this land. The homes in this area are among the closest to Bishop England High School and have one of the largest parks on the island. Park features soccer and lacrosse fields and basketball courts. The park is ablaze in color during the soccer season when young players hit the fields in weekly battles. Bishop England teachers are known to conduct classes on the park lawn in the spring and fall when the temperatures are just right. The trails through this area offer many surprise shady spots and ponds under canopies of live oak trees. Watch the Snowy Egrets and Grey Herons fish for fingerlings in quiet intimate settings just off the path. It’s an easy walk or bicycle ride into downtown Daniel Island or the Scott Park pool. Non-elevated single-family detached homes are prevalent and range in price from the upper $400,000s to $600,000s.
