South Carolina Economist: 2010 Was The Turning Point For The Local Real Estate Market

We had the pleasure of hearing a detailed presentation by Joey Von Nessen, PHD, a research economist with Resh Marketing in Columbia and an assistant professor of economics at the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business.  Dr. Von Nessen studied all aspects of the local economy and presented an encouraging picture...“The question is not whether we are recovering, it’s just how long is it going to take.” With the very busy year we had at Prestige Real Estate Group breaking all of our company's sales records and the extremely busy beginning to 2011, we agree with Dr. Von Nessen's evaluation of the local real estate market. The great deals that remain are attracting multiple offers and available inventory is dwindling. Buyers looking for great deals need to move fast as we believe sellers will soon be able to hold their own in price negotiations. For further details of Dr. Von Nessen's presentation read this article from the Charleston Business Journal.
