The head of the Culinary Institute Of Charleston said nearly 50 new restaurants on the Charleston peninsula in 2013. The culinary Institute graduates 150 each May to help staff the demand for high quality staff in a town that is know for "Hospitality and Culinary options."

Boeing Continues To Expand

Boeing announced plans to expand their 787 Dreamliner campus with an additional 468 acres.

Benefitfocus brings 1200 more jobs to Daniel Island

Benefitfocus broke ground on a new building and announced plans to hire 1200 new employees on Daniel Island. The company currently employs about 800.

United Van Lines study ranks South Carolina #2 in inbound moves

United Van Lines study revealed South Carolina as second only to Oregon in the percentage of inbound moves vs. in state moves.

Economist Stephen Slifer predicts very healthy 2014

Mr. Slifer is very bullish on 2014 anticipating the economy will expand about 3% this year and predicts nearly a 0% chance of recession. Housing demand will continue to outpace supply. Mortgage rates will creep up slightly. Home prices should push higher in 2014.
