Never Looked Back

I moved to Charleston 12 years ago and have never looked back! One of the reasons is the year-round access to the arts, and especially the 17-day springtime Spoleto Festival when the city serves as a backdrop to artistic celebration of dance, music, opera, theater, and visual arts with over 500 events in 70 venues. This year I experienced such a wide variety… Grammy award winning jazz genius Esperanza Spalding Making Magic Under The Stars… England’s Globe Theater group’s performance of Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy Twelfth Night… Westminster Choir’s inspirational a cappella performance of Path of Miracles, celebrating in musical theater the pilgrimage to Spain’s Camino de Santiago… world premiere dramatic stage performance of Amos Gitai’s  Letter To A Friend in Gaza… and one of the most celebrated musical works of all time, Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons! These 5 performances were only 20 minutes away from my residence on Daniel Island. An incredible experience!
