Charleston has so many things to offer. It’s amazing. My wife and I subscribe to the Charleston Symphony Pops Series at the Sottile Theater downtown on George Street. Last night’s performance started at 7:30pm.
We left our condo on Daniel Island at 6:55pm…over the Ravenel Bridge, left on East Bay, right at George Street, pulled into the public parking lot, and were in our first row mezzanine center seats by 7:20pm!
Last evening’s performance was Wicked Divas. A variety of songs from Broadway plays and Hollywood movies with a 46-piece symphony orchestra and two Broadway vocalists… “All That Jazz” (Chicago), “I Could Have Danced All Night” (My Fair Lady), “Over The Rainbow” (The Wizard of Oz), “For Good” (Wicked) and many others.
What an enjoyable and unforgettable evening! Twenty minutes after the show ended, I was back in my condo on Daniel Island at 10:05pm. $44.25 for each ticket and $5.00 for the parking...Life is Good!
