Finally The Daniel Island Waterfront Anchors The Island!

Daniel Island Waterfront Comes Alive.

We have lived, worked and played on Daniel Island for over 15 years. What an amazing experience it has been with the constant evolution of beautiful new homes, additional community swimming pools, The massive Daniel Island Club expansion, the addition of modern new shopping, many new restaurants (rumors of one of Charleston's elite restaurants coming soon) and much more. There is always a buzz on the island about what's new.

For most of the time we have been here there has been talk of a marina to be built on the island. About a dozen years ago we had waterfront listings on Ralston Creek. I took a call from an interested buyer who said he lived in Houston and wanted to buy a big waterfront home for his family but needed to know if Ralston Creek was deep enough for his pride and joy, a 150' yacht. Well, I couldn't make the sale and still dream that one.

However, there is great news of a luxury waterfront development shaping up. The developer behind the residential complex is East West Partners. We are very familiar with their outstanding projects here and in Colorado and we expect an outstanding complex when complete.

Imagine a first-class waterfront restaurant with a rooftop bar, waterfront luxury condos and townhomes, three docks to serve the boating community, a boat club and even a ferry from Daniel Island to Historic Charleston. No, I am not dreaming - the initial buildings are under construction. The Daniel Island Ferry is already running. Just too much fun!

Oh, please allow me to introduce you to the Daniel Island Boat Club mentioned above. They already exist at a nearby marina. I know you are thinking of worn-out old rental boats. Not this club. They have about 25 boats that are new or nearly new. What an interesting collection of options too - small fishing boats, Maine picnic boats, and larger party boats.

Forget buying a boat. Let them do the work related to owning a boat (and there is plenty of work) and you can enjoy 100% of your time having fun on the boat with your family and friends. By the way, the club costs less than owning your own boat. Check them out Daniel Island Boat Club.

Daniel Island has matured into what most think of as the premier community in the Charleston area. Between major golf and tennis options, fine dining, shopping, 25 miles of bike trails and frequent community events including top-name concerts at the island's stadium, life is truly a dream here. Now the Waterfront will be the final jewel for all to enjoy.

Enjoy reading more about the new waterfront in this Daniel Island News article. What for more news on these exciting additions to the island soon.
