Beresford Hall Homes For Sale

Beresford Hall PoolBeresford Hall is named after Richard Beresford who acquired the tract in 1706. The current development of about 200 homesites on 744 Acres was started in 1999 by Greenwood Development and currently is more than 85% completed. Some of the best Charleston architects and builders have collaborated to produce some truly outstanding homes, even if not all are visible from the street. Careful site planning and strict conservation guidelines provide natural screening along the few streets that wind through this tract. Embracing the areas maritime history Beresford Hall has empowered owners to keep their small boats at their residences if properly camouflaged, and has installed a boat launch within the development for convenience. A large day-use floating dock on Beresford Creek is available for use by those not fortunate enough to have their own dock.

Also unique to Beresford Hall is the ability of owners to construct (with ARB approval) up to two additional structures on their property. This could allow for the addition of a guest house, mother-in-law suite, boathouse or an extra garage. The end result is a stunning, unique community. The residents of Beresford Hall enjoy an array of amenities including hiking trails, gorgeous swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, children's park, a community dock and boat ramp.

Beresford Hall Lifestyle

Most people choose Beresford Hall for the serene natural setting. What a great place to return home to after a hectic day. With large homesites up to an acre, the community has a feeling of serenity and privacy. There is very little foot traffic except those walking the dog or taking a bit of exercise. The community is gated, automobile making traffic virtually nonexistent. Even the mail is delivered to a community mailbox. Residents spend their free time boating, fishing, hiking nature trails and generally enjoying the amenities and splendor of where they live. Of course, it will at some time be necessary to shop, run errands or meet friends for dinner and that can be accomplished by traveling about 10 minutes to Daniel Island or about 15 minutes to Mount Pleasant. A trip to the Charleston Airport is about 20 minutes by car. Several golf courses are within 15-20 minutes. More businesses open each day along the road to Beresford Hall, so trips like these will be even shorter soon. The shortest trip of all is taking the kids to school. The Philip Simmons Schools are about 3 miles away. Evenings in Beresford Hall could be a quiet night in your own home or barbeque at the neighbors. Neighborhood social events are held in the party house at The Ruins. A cool modern twist on a rebuilt brick kiln.
