Beresford Hall Lifestyle


Most people choose Beresford Hall for the serene natural setting. What a great place to return home to after a hectic day. With large parcels [some almost 3 acres] and no connecting sidewalks there is very little foot traffic except those walking the dog or taking a bit of exercise. You can occupy the porch rocker in solitude. Because the community is gated automobile traffic is virtually nonexistent, especially on weekends. Even the mail is delivered to a community mailbox. Not even a delivery to disturb you. Residents spend their free time fishing, hiking the nature trails and generally enjoying the amenities and splendor of where they live.
Of course it will at some time be necessary to shop, run errands or meet friends for dinner and that can be accomplished by travelling about 10 minutes to Daniel Island or about 15 minutes to northern Mount Pleasant. A trip to the Charleston Airport is about 20 minutes by car. Several golf courses are within 15-20 minutes. More businesses open each day along the road to BH so trips like these will be even shorter soon. The shortest trip of all is taking the kids to school. The new Philip Simmons Schools are about 3 miles away.
Evenings in Beresford Hall could be a quiet night in your own home or barbeque at the neighbors. Some social events are held in the party venue in the complexes party facility “The Ruins” A cool modern twist on a rebuilt brick kiln.

Schools


Grades 4K-4 -Philip Simmons Elementary- Newly constructed in 2016 this school opened it doors to the first classes in August 2016. This state of the art 178,000 square foot facility will provide students with the latest in educational technologies. Focus on Steam [science, technology, engineering, arts, math] will give students a head start for a good career in the newest fields.


Grades 5-8- Philip Simmons Middle School- Actually housed under the same roof as PSE students will build on the foundation formed in the previous 5 years here. Elementary and middle school students will use separate entrances and exits but will share common areas such as gymnasiums and cafeterias.


Grades 9- 12 Philip Simmons High School- Third level education named after the famous Charleston Ironworker and artist. This school is currently under construction and will not only continue the STEAM program but will offer college credit, honors and AP courses. A beautiful sports stadium and field house are already under construction. The future home of the Iron Horses.
2016 Grades 9-12 will attend Hanahan High School.
